Main purpose of this page is to share information about my Friend work with everybody who are visiting this page. My Friend is a missionary working in Malawi, warm heart of Africa. I would like to worship God for every good made by his assistance.
Father Paul is Salesian Priest. He was born in western part of Poland. First few years of his priesthood he was working in sequence for few Polish parishes, but his heart was still missing for missionary work, to work for poor people... To be realy poor among poor ones... To bring them the biggest good - Jesus. |

This page is an English version of page www.malawi.alleluja.pl, made by me for Father Paul in November 2004. The page is under construction now, because I have to translate almost all texts from Polish-language page. I would like to do it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, my English is still working, so I will be grateful for every remarks and your tolerance :)
Since now I will put it all new informations about Father Paul work, I will share with you his witness, stories and photos from far-away Malawi... I would like - with Father Paul by himself - tell you about difficult missionary work: about work with the worshippers, about the church building, and ask you for the prayer support, so helpful and needed for such a difficult work. At right, in "You can help" box, you will find some information, how to help for missionary work continuation.
I invite you...

Since few weeks I have big technical problem to make changes on Polish-version of this web.
I'm very sorry, but I still have no support from alleluja system owner.
There is still the famine in Malawi.
One bucket of corn costs about 13$ but the government says the have no more corn in depot...
Today I have got information from Father Paul. Tomorrow he is going to Nkhunga with the last part of buidings material. After that he will be looking for the corn to buy for the hungry people.
Below you will find some older messages. I hope in the short time I will be able to put in on Polish-version web too.
Best regards
B.
Message from 14-02-2006: The famine is the most difficult for the children - they are so weak so they can not to go to the school. Many of schools are closing for this time.
Message from 07-02-2006: Now I'm delivering the food for hungry people and school utensils for orphans - bought thanks to financial help from Poland. For the 3 weeks I have made 5500 km.
Message from 26-01-2006: I have just back - tired but happy - with a whole car of corn for hungry people. There is very difficult to buy one bag of corn... And I reached 1000 kg and I'm really happy!!! We have to be patient till the middle of March... Now one bucket of corn costs 10$.

Now, in Malawi, we have unusual famine. This is a difficult
experience... to learn about it... how people becoming weak
without food, how mothers becoming mad because they have no milk for
their children and has to look at them dying... and they are
wandering in this madness through Malawi...
We, as a parish, have finished almost all of this year corn harvest... 30% of our parish is in famine now. If the people will have no food in November and December, they will be not enough strong to farm their fields. This way the famine will be extending for next few years...
We have approval (negotiated with local government) to buy the corn as many as we need (normally the people can buy only one bag at a time) because I said we are not selling it but we are distributing it for free... because the people, in the mountains, have no money...
Summarizing... I calculate that - because they have no food already - in December-January I will have about 3000 hungry katholics in 3 centers (without Nkhotakota and Matiki). That means, if I want to help them, I need about 15 kg of corn for 1 person x 5 month (November-March) = 20$ for 1 person. For 3000 persons I need about 6000$.
Paul
